Biography

Isabella Matt was born in Austria in 1998. She received her first horn lessons at the age of eight from Mr. Murat Üstün at the music school in Dornbirn. From 2012-2017, she completed the music high school in Feldkirch and graduated with the Matura and basic artistic studies with Professor Josef Sterlinger, majoring in horn. This was followed from 2017-2021 by studying instrumental and vocal pedagogy at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory in Feldkirch, majoring in horn with Professor Josef Sterlinger and from 2019 with Professor Michael Pescolderung. She graduated from this course with distinction. Since September 2021 she has been completing the artistic diploma course at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory. 

Isabella receives a scholarship from the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and regularly takes part in the intensive music weeks and activities of the academy. 

As part of the Bregenz Festival, she was able to take part in the incidental music for the house operas Moses in Egypt and Nerone as well as for the sea opera Rigoletto. 

From 2018-2020, she worked as a maternity leave substitute for horn and tenor horn at the youth music school Württembergisches Allgäu (D). Since 2019, she has been teaching horn at the music school in Dornbirn and at the music school on Hofsteig (A).
