Biography
Born in 2008 in Mexico into a musical family, Anna Komusinski received her first cello lessons at the age of four with the Suzuki Method. After her musical beginnings in Mexico, she moved to Spain to continue her musical education and then to Poland to follow the legacy of Professor Henryk Zarzycki. In 2021, she has been accepted into to the Talent Lab program from the University of Music and Arts, Vienna, (MDW) with Professor Maria Grün. Currently, she studies in Switzerland with Prof. Ivan Monighetti.
Anna has been taking masterclasses with internationally recognized professors such as Ivan Monighetti, Wolfgang Manuel Schmidt, Adam Krzeszowiec, Maria Grün, Gary Hoffman, Johannes Moser, Jacob Shaw, Stanislaw Firlej and Reinhard Latzko. Since 2022, Anna is a scholarship holder of the Academy of Music in Liechtenstein and takes part there in the intensive weeks and activities.

She has won several prizes at international competitions. She was the winner of the „Dotzauer Cello Competition“ in Dresden, Germany, in 2019, the winner of the „International Popper Cello Competition“ in Varpalota, Hungary, in 2021 and won the 1st prize of the „Ogólnopolski Konkurs Wiolonczelowy“ in Poland, also in 2021.
For Anna, the stages have been like performing in her own house, being part of her life. At the age of thirteen, she made her grand debut as a soloist with the Filharmonia Lubelska under conductor Wojciech Rodek, and since then, she has managed to perform in the most prestigious stages around Europe and America. She has been playing in USA, Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Mexico.
She has participated in important festivals in Europe such as the Music Festival Allegro Vivo in Austria, the International Cello Academy in Nysa, Poland, the Scandinavian Cello School Denmark, the Schloss Academy Vienna and the Centrum Penderecki Poland.
In 2023, with great passion to her musical horizons, came the special collaboration with the Academy of Music in Liechtenstein to perform at the Gala Konzert as well as her great debut and collaboration with the Suzuki British, performing in the Gala Concert at the great hall of the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Since September 2023, Anna is a scholarship holder of the Mexican foundation FONCA (Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes).
