Biography
Elisabeth Essl was born in Austria in 1999 and began her flute lessons at the St. Valentin music school with Edina Vami-May. From 2015, she received lessons from Prof. Sonja Korak, first at the Johann Sebastian Bach Music School in Vienna and from 2017 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She continued her instrumental flute studies at the Munich University of Music and Theater and switched to the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in 2020, where she has been studying with Prof. Erwin Klambauer.
She attended masterclasses with Michael Kofler, Andrea Lieberknecht, Wally Hase, Barbara Gisler-Haase, Michel Moragues, Jan Ostry, Nathalie Rozat and Walter Auer. She is a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities of the academy.

Elisabeth has won prizes in numerous competitions. She won 1st prizes at the "International Competition of Woodwinds Pozarevac", at the "21st Century Art International Competition", at "Flautiada - 6th International Flute Competition" in Banská Bystrica and multiple 1st prizes at "Prima la musica".
She has performed as a soloist at the Kulturforum Bratislava, Tseretelli Museum Moscow, Moscow State Conservatory, Muth Vienna, St. Florian Monastery, Haus der Kunst Baden and with the Young Masters Vienna Trio at the Bolshoi Theater Moscow. She has had many performances and special musical experiences with the chamber orchestra Young Masters Ensemble and as solo flutist with the Vienna Jeunesse Orchestra.
