Biography
Tabea Ockert was born in Germany in 2002. She received her first violin lessons at the age of five. In 2016, she switched to the viola. From 2019 to 2022, she attended the Musikgymnasium Schloss Belvedere in Weimar, where she was taught by Neasa Ní Bhriain. Since October 2022, she has been studying with Prof. Thomas Riebl at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
Tabea was able to develop musically and artistically as part of masterclasses with Prof. Gertrud Weinmeister, Prof. Erich Wolfgang Krüger, Prof. Roland Glassl, Prof. Ditte Leser, Prof. Thomas Riebl and Prof. Florian Richter. She is a scholarship holder of the Liechtenstein International Music Academy and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities that take place there.

Tabea was a multiple prizewinner at the national competition "Jugend musiziert". In Weimar she won the chamber music prize with the Castello Quartet (directed by Beate Hartmann – Klenke Quartet) at the in-school competition of the Musikgymnasium. The quartet took courses with Lukas Hagen and the Jerusalem Quartet.
In 2019, Tabea received the Handel Mozart Youth Scholarship.
