Biography
Avalon Stottrop was born in Germany in 2009. He is a junior student at the Julius Stern Institute of the Berlin University of the Arts under Prof. Latica Honda-Rosenberg with the violin.
He holds a scholarship at the Academy of Music in Liechtenstein and regularly participates in the intensive weeks and activities held there.
In 2024, Avalon won the 1st prize at the “Grunewald International Music Competition” in Berlin, as well as the 2nd prize at the “66th Kocian Competition” in Category IV and the “Master Jaroslav Kocian Foundation Special Prize”. In 2023, he won the 1st prize at the “Young Ludwig Music Competition” in Berlin. From 2019 to 2023, he won 1st prizes at the national competition “Jugend Musiziert”. In 2021, he was a prizewinner at the “conTAKT Junior Competition”.

Between 2020 and 2023, Avalon was first violinist in the youth orchestra of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. In 2024, he performed with the Geringas Chamber Orchestra and the Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra.
At the 2025 German Musical Instrument Fund competition, he won a violin by Giouanni Grancino in Contrada Largha di Milano al segno della corona 1673.
