Biography
Lana Zorjan was born in 2008 in Serbia. She has been playing the violin since the age of four. On her musical and artistic development, the biggest positive impact have Prof. Ivana Acimoski-Žikic, Prof. Imre Lakatoš, Prof. Zakhar Bron and Prof. Stefan Milenkovich.
Lana has participated in masterclasses of Prof. Zakhar Bron and Prof. Stefan Milenkovich. She’s a scholarship holder of the Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities offered by the academy.
So far, Lana has won over 60 first and special prizes as well as laureates at international and national competitions (Austria, Russia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sweden, Spain). The most notable competitions are the “64th International Violin Competition Jaroslav Kocian”, Czech Republic, where Lana was the Laureate-absolute winner of all categories, the “VIII International Violin Competition The Josef Micka Competition” in 2020, Czech Republic, with the 1st prize and the special award Ph. Dr. Josef Micky. In the “Virtuosos Talent Show V4+ in 2020 in Hungary, she won the special prize and the public 1st prize by SMS vote. In 2021, she won the special prize of the “Academy Zakhar Bron” in the “EMCY International Television Contest for Young Musicians Nutcracker“ in Moscow. In the “International Violin Competition Franjo Krežma” in Croatia in 2022, she won the 1st prize and was absolute winner of all categories. In 2019, Lana won the 1st prize and the special prize of the “Spivakov foundation”. She won other 1st prizes in the “44th International Violin Competition Nadalka Simeonova” in 2019 in Bulgaria, in the “Grand Prize Virtuoso Viena“ in 2016 in Austria, in “Ohrid Pearls” in 2016 in Macedonia and at the “International Festival of Slavic Music” in 2021, where she was also the winner of the Grand Prix with invitation for the final in Moscow in 2022. At the “VI North International Music Competition” in 2020 in Sweden, she won the 1st prize as well as the 1st prize and a special prize for the interpretation of her own original piece in the “IV International Competition Oskar Rieding” Slovenia in 2020.

Lana has realized over 300 concerts, public performances and TV appearances. She had 26 performances as a soloist with twelve different orchestras in four countries. Among others, she played with the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice, the Duna Szimfonikus Zenekar, the Budafoki Dohnanyi Orchestra, the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, the Mostar Symphony Orchestra, the SNP Opera Symphony Orchestra, the Vojvodina Youth Philharmonic, the Art Link Chamber Orchestra, the Kamerata Balkanika and the MasterArt Academy Chamber Orchestra with performances in Moscow, Vienna, Budapest, Usti nad Orlici, Skutec, Prague, Mostar and recitals in Ljubljana, Belgrade, Novi Sad and Subotica. The most notable performances as a soloist have been two concerts with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice in Usti nad Orlici and Skutec. the Gala New Year Concert as a soloist of Danube Symphony Orchestra at RAM Coloseum Teatre in Budapest, the summer tour in 2021 as a soloist of the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra Serbia, the Festival Moscow Meets Friends in 2019 and the Concert of young talents with the Mostar Symphony Orchestra in Bosnia and Hercegovina in 2021.
She recorded H. Vieuxtemps Violin Concerto no.5 for the Czech Radio and appeared on the TV cannels RTS2, RTS 1, Russia Kultura, RTV1, Prva TV BIH, Novosadska TV and RTV Pink.
