Biography
Clara Nagl, born in Austria in 2002, has accompanied the viola since she was five years old. Initially at the Upper Austrian State Music School with Angelika Dallinger, in 2017 she moved to the Anton Bruckner Private University in the class of Mag. Predrag Katanic. Since 2021, she has been a student at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where she is currently completing her bachelor's degree in concert studies with Univ.-Prof. William Coleman graduated.
Clara particularly values the experience she gained from master classes with musicians such as Thomas Riebl, Tabea Zimmermann, Gareth Lubbe, Kirsten Docter, Carol Rodland and Kim Kashkashian. She is a scholarship holder of the Lichtenstein Music Academy and takes part in the academy's intensive weeks and activities.

The Austrian state and national competition “prima la musica” spurred her on at a young age and, in addition to prizes, gave her invitations to master classes (including with Markus Poschner), concerts and a feature on Ö1.
Clara has previously gained orchestral experience in the Youth String Orchestra of Upper Austria as a section leader, in the International Orchestra Institute Attergau (IOIA) of the Vienna Philharmonic, in the Female Symphonic Orchestra Austria and in the Symphony Orchestra of the Mozarteum University.
In 2023 she was a participant in the Bowdoin International Music Festival in the USA and the Saline Royle Academy in France. Clara is a musician at Live Music Now in Salzburg and co-founder of the ensemble “Klangwelle Salzburg”.
As a soloist, she can look back on appearances with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and the Altomonte Orchestra at the St. Florianer Brucknertage 2023.
