When it starts with the snare drum from the Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra (SOL) and becomes increasingly voluminous, then you can hear the world-famous “Boléro” by Maurice Ravel at the opening of the SOL's 34th concert season in 2022. Led by Maestro Sebastian Lang-Lessing, who conducted the major Richard Strauss program at SOL in November 2019, the first half of the concert is dedicated to the French and impressionist Maurice Ravel. After the quarter-hour crescendo in the Boléro, his piano concerto in G major is on the program. After nine years, the pianist Martina Filjak, who has been celebrated in Liechtenstein and around the world, is returning to SOL, who played her way into the hearts of the audience as early as 2012. Your return to SOL not only describes one of two big comebacks and therefore also explains the motto of the season, but the word “comeback” also contains the secret wish of those responsible for SOL: “Come back - please come back to us in the concert hall back". After the break, the striking symphony in D minor by the Belgian composer César Franck will sound.
