Biography
Marcel Üstün was born in Austria in 1996. He received his first horn lessons from his father at the age of eight and was also tutored by Prof. Gergely Sugar (Vienna Symphony Orchestra). In 2016, he passed his high school diploma at the music high school in Feldkirch. He is currently studying for a master's degree in education at the ZHdK with Prof. Radovan Vlatkovic.
Marcel attended master classes with Prof. Erich Penzel, Prof. Hector McDonald, Prof. Szabolcs Zempléni, Prof. Radovan Vlatkovic and Thomas Crome, among others. He is also a scholarship holder at the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and regularly takes part in the intensive weeks and activities held there.

Marcel is a multiple prizewinner of the Austrian youth music competition "Prima la Musica", both as soloist and as member of the ensemble also at national level.
As part of a cultural exchange, he made guest appearances in Adana, Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. In 2008, he performed as a soloist with the chamber orchestra 9 Eylül in Vorarlberg. In 2015, he was a guest at the Next Generation Bad Ragaz festival in Switzerland for the first time.
The young musician plays in the Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the Ensemble Esperanza, which consists of scholarship holders from the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and was awarded an "Opus Klassik" in 2018.
