Biography
Isidora Timotijevic (1997) is the principal viola of the Munich Chamber Orchestra.
As a guest principal violist, she has performed with the Bamberg Symphony, the SWR Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and the Munich Philharmonic.
Her particular passion is chamber music, which has led her to festivals such as Musique à Marsac, Eggenfelden Klassisch, the Musikarte Festival, and the Esbjerg Chamber Music Festival. As a member of Ensemble Esperanza, she also gained formative experience in the international chamber music scene.
Isidora studied with Roland Glassl at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and with Thomas Riebl at the Mozarteum Salzburg, where she received artistic guidance from members of the Hagen Quartet and the Casals Quartet. She was also a scholarship holder at the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein.
Isidora plays a viola by Robert Brewer Young (2021), provided to her by the Music and Youth Foundation.
